Samurai Cinema
Global Cinema with a Samurai theme or twist - linage of Korosawa's favorite filmmaker
We are producing international films with a Samurai twist including the first global epic on Bodhidharma.... shot all across Japan including Tokyo, Osaka, Kamakura, Koyasan, Nagano and even the holiest sites where Buddha lived and taught in India as well as iconic locations of all major Buddhist nations from China and Korea to Thailand and Srilanka. This unique film made in consultation with the famous film crew of Oscar-winner Satyajit Ray (Akira Kurosawa's favorite filmmaker) will also pay tribute to the greatest Japanese samurai including Tokugawa, Shingen, Tadakatsu, Musashi and Tachibana and will feature all original weapons from the Samurai Buddhist Museum instead of mere props. The film is in both Japanese and English and is the only film ever made on how Buddhism was destroyed in India which resulted in the fall of Indian civilization. Yet Bodhidharma brought Buddhism to China, Korea and Japan by birthing martial Buddhism that was embraced by the Shaolin, Hwarang and eventually Samurai warriors. This is a powerful film that every Buddhist must see and the profits will help to finance the Samurai Buddhist Museum and other projects linked to the promotion of Yamato Damashii & Yamato Bukkyo.
